- Keep the dressing on the incision for 48 hours. Then, remove the dressing, but leave Steri-Strips in place. They will come off in the shower in a few days.
- Take all antibiotics as directed.
- If there is excess pain or swelling, call Dr. Raju’s office.
- Take your first shower or bath two days after surgery. No sutures should be removed. Make an appointment to see Dr. Raju in two weeks or sooner if a problem develops
- It is important to bathe and clean the incision with soap every day.
- It is important to be active and work the operated leg; resume your normal daily activities immediately.
