Take antibiotics and blood thinners as directed.
Contact your family physician next day after discharge and make arrangements to monitor your blood thinners.
It is important to be active and work the operated leg; resume your normal daily activity immediately. This improves venous circulation and reduces the chance of blood clots.
You can take off the dressing and bathe in a tub or shower as soon as you go home. Use soap and water on the incision and dry.
